Jammu Kashmir will likely face wet weather from tomorrow (31 october)- Plains are expected to receive moderate showers and snowfall has been predicted for the upper reaches of region.
Locals facing power cuts with the onset of the winter are expecting the power cuts to worsen with the expected weather change tomorrow.
Kashmir weather, an independent website monitoring weather in the region reported that Western Disturbances from next week are going to bring “much more winter than you currently are experiencing.”
From 31 October onwards, a continuous flow of Western Disturbances (with short breaks) will cause the weather to turn cold across Jammu Kashmir, thus automatically driving up power demand, the report added.
There is no major WD expected at present, though a WD around 05-06 November has the potential to be moderate in intensity.
“Regardless of the intensity of these WDs, cloudy weather may cause maximum day temperatures to fall below 10°C on some days in parts of Kashmir,” the report concluded.
