A youth tragically drowned in Nallah Pohru, located in the Sopore area of Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday a youth, identified as Athisham Shafi Lone, 20, son of Mohammed Shafi Lone, a resident of Nathipora, drowned near the bridge at Sonwani Wadoora, Sopore.
The incident occurred while he was bathing in the stream.
Following the incident, local residents and police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation to locate the youth.
