8 Persons Including SPO Detained During Nocturnal Raids in Baramulla

The Jammu Kashmir police on Monday arrested eight persons from North Kashmir’s Baramulla District during nocturnal Raids.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the eight youths including an SPO of Jammu Kashmir Police have been arrested during Night raids from Tangmarg area of Baramulla District.

Some of the arrested have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Magray S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o Duroo age 20 who is a Student, Parveez Ahmad Magray S/o Ab Gani R/o Duroo age 27 tipper driver, Bilal Ahmad R/o Baramulla who is a Imam in Hardubani mosque.

One Special Police officer identified as Mohd Yaseen Najar aged 22, son of Khazir Mohd, who is a resident of Duroo has also been arrested.

The Jammu Kashmir Police said that the eight were associates of militants and were planning to snatch weapons from police personnel.

In a statement issued here a police spokesman said that on credible input  a criminal conspiracy was being hatched by some associates of militants to snatch weapons from on duty police personnel.

“Baramulla police has detained eight (08) militant accomplices from Baramulla, Tangmarg and Srinagar areas,” he said.

A Jammu Kashmir Police official said that FIR No. 102/2018 under section 18, 38 UA (P) Act was registered in Police Station Tangmarg and further investigation was initiated in the mater.
