“Sopore Man was Shot Dead by Forces” Says Family- Police Denies Allegations

The heart wrenching images of a 3-year old boy whose grandfather was killed in the Sopore attack on Wednesday morning, have taken the internet by shock.

The officials have said that the civilian identified as Bashir Ahmed Qasid (Khan) was killed when militant attacked a CRPF party in the model town area of Sopore in north Kashmir.

A police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that he was killed during cross-firing, One CRPF Man was also killed, two others were injured.

Bashir was a resident of Mustafa colony in HMT area of Srinagar.

The heart wrenching images have taken the world by a shock, where the three year old kid is seen on the dead body of his grandfather. The Jammu Kashmir Police rescued the kid, the video is doing rounds on Social media. In a image, a Police official can be seen taking the child into safety, away from the spot.

In another video that has gone viral on Social media, the son of the 51 year old, Bashir Ahmed has alleged that his father was brought down from the vehicle and shot dead by Force personnel, Police has however denied such allegations.

His son Suhail Ahmed talking to the media has said that his father had gone to Sopore in connection of some work. “He was shot dead, after being brought down from the vehicle and later shot dead after the Militant attack.”

Suhail is not an eyewitness to the incident though, No eyewitness account has been heard as of yet.

None of the family members is eyewitness to the incident.
