Two more troopers injured in the Kupwara encounter have succumbed to their injuries on Friday evening.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that two more cops have succumbed to their injuries taking their death toll to four.
Earlier two troopers, One from CRPF and one Jammu Kashmir Policeman were killed in the encounter.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that Militants opened fire when a party of joint forces had laid siege to the area following inputs about the Militant movement in the area.
Earlier, it was reported that two Militants have been killed during the ensuing gunfight.
However no dead body has been recovered as of yet from the site of encounter.

Intense clashes had also erupted around the encounter site in the Babagund area.
As per the latest reports available to The Kashmiriyat fresh firing has resumed at the site of encounter.
In the fresh exchange of fire, 1 CRPF Man, 01 cop of Jammu Kashmir Police were killed and five forces personal Injured.
Out of the five injured troopers, two succumbed to their injuries.
