Man in Police Custody was a jaish Suspect, tried to end his life, Says Police

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed that Feroz Ahmed who was admitted with a slit throat in District hospital on Islamabad (Anantnag) was a suspect of Militant outfit Jaish- e- Mohammad.

He was rushed to hospital by Police when he tried to end his life in the Police custody.

The Police in its official statement said that, On 5th September one Jaish suspect Feroz Ahmed Hajjam Son of Ghulam Rasool Hajam resident of Iqbal Pora Kherti , Larnoo was arrested and brought for questioning as he was wanted in connection with case FIR No 125/2018 of Police station Kokernag.

During the course of questioning the suspect went to washroom to attend the nature’s call and while in the washroom he allegedly attempted to take his own life by slitting his throat, the Police said in its official statement.

He was given immediate medical attention and shifted to hospital in critical condition, the Police said.

Police has initiated necessary legal actions in this regard.
