Chenab Valley Sees Surge in Corona Positive Cases- Admin Cautions People

On Sunday 19 people were tested positive for coronavirus in Chenab valley’s Doda, among which 14 had been already under quarantine in Bhaderwah and two in Gondoh.

Three other people who were tested positive are mainly drivers, Sources told The Kashmiriyat, officials said the fresh nineteen cases have been put in quarantine at various places in District Doda.

All the patients now been admitted to the isolation ward of the District Hospital, Doda, and their contacts/ travel history are being tracked by the authorities, “These 19 people have come in contact with 83 people in the past few days.”

Chenab Valley’s Kishtwar district saw four people tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday, three of them truck drivers, Meanwhile in Bahaderwah curfew like restrictions have been imposed, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.

Pertinently till Sunday the Chenab valley had the lowest number of covid positive cases, but yesterday’s surge is being seen as worrisome.

District administration has asked the public to take all the precautions & maintain social distancing to help the administration to stop the spread of the pandemic.
