One Army man was killed during a Gunfight that between Militants and Government forces in the Hanjan area of Rajpora in Pulwama late on Thursday.
Reports reaching The Kashmiriyat said that on Thursday night Joint forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid a joint cordon and search operation in the the Hanjan area of Pulwama.
They said that as the forces reached the spot where the Militants were suspected to be holed up, the militants opened fire.
The forces retaliated, according to reports.
During the exchange of gunfire, one Army man and one Militant has been killed.
The deceased Army man has been identified as Hawaldar Kashi of 44 RR.
Meanwhile internet services have been suspended the Pulwama district as a precautionary measure.
