One Militant has been killed in the brief gunfight that is underway between militants and Government forces in the Batpora Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara District.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 30 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation.
The Encounter had started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces who had laid a cordon around Batpora area.
As per Sources the gunfire has ended already and now search operations have begun.
“Forces are expecting that Militants are hiding in the area, Search Operations are being conducted, the operation is still on,” an Official told.
