One unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter with government forces in Badipora Locality of Dadasra area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Officials confirming the encounter said that a joint team of Government forces including 42 RR and SOG launched search Operation in the area following credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
As forces intensified search operation towards a suspected spot, militants opened fire triggered encounter.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Zakir Musa’s Group has been trapped at the site of encounter, however officials refused to comment in this regard, Meanwhile a massive exchange of gunfire is on, as per locals.
In this exchange of gunfire, one Militant has been killed.
As soon as the encounter raged, hundreds of youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces, who fired tear smoke shells at the protesters.
The Youth in large numbers are trying to march towards the site of encounter, Sources said.
Mobile internet services have been snapped in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
