One Militant has been reportedly killed in an encounter that has raged between militants and Government forces erupted at Kathpora areea of Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of 34 RR, SOG, Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at kathpora area on Saturday evening after receiving inputs about presence of some militants in the area.
The Forces while conducting the search operation were fire upon by forces, which resulted in an encounter.
As per Initial inputs received by The Kashmiriyat, two to three Militants including a top commander of Al Badr are believed to be holed up in the area.
Locals informed The Kashmiriyat that a heavy exchange of fire is going on in the area.
