Despite their efforts, the building was completely destroyed.
The deceased was identified as Yasir Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad, a resident of Karmulla, Tral. All the injured were shifted to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which remains unknown as of now. Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
Locals expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and destruction of the seminary, calling it a major blow to the community’s educational and religious fabric.
