A minor girl aged 13 was allegedly raped after being abducted by a 21-year-old youth in the Srinagar district of central Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a 13-year-old girl was kidnapped by a 21-year-old youth in Srinagar’s Nishat area after which the accused raped her while holding her captive.
The family of the minor girl filed a complaint at their concerned Police station Rajbagh after which Police constituted a special team and started searching for the minor girl, he said.
The minor girl after being rescued by the Police informed the Police that she had been raped in captivity by one Adil Shafi Hajam (21 yrs), who is a resident of Nishat area in Srinagar.
The Police have arrested the accused and registered a case under FIR No 61/22 under sections 366, 376 IPC & 3/4 POCSO Act at Rajbagh Police Station.
