The Jammu Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have rescued 14 bovines in Reasi District of Jammu Kashmir, however the driver managed to escape from the spot, a Police official said.
During routine checking on NHW Tapyal the Police asked a truck bearing regd. No. JK02BM- 9086 which was coming from Kathua side’ to stop, however the driver accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape the spot.

The Police chased the vehicle, the driver though abandoned the vehicle and managed to escape away from the spot near NHW Jatwal.
The Police said that during checking of the vehicle, 14 Bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally, post which the vehicle was seized and all the bovines were rescued.
Jammu Kashmir Police has registered an FIR in this regard and an investigation has started. (The Kashmiriyat)
