14 Shops Violating Lockdown seized, 04 FIRs Registered, Locals Appreciate Police

Authorities in Achabal area of Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) continued their strict action against violators, registered 04 FIR’s and seized 13 shops.

In order to contain further spreading of COVID19 adminstration has taken a strict note against the violators for Which directions were passed by the authorities regarding implementation of lockdown in the district.

To enforce strict restriction and minimize the risk of spreading of virus police Achabal along with , DySP Achbal, Mr.Rafiq Ahmad Rather, Tehsildar Shangas Mr. Javid Ahmad Sheikh and Naib Tehsildar Achabal mr. Abdul Radheed Dar on Friday seized 13 shopkeepers and lodged 04 FIRs under FIR No’s 41, 42, 43 and 44 of 2020 US 188 and 269 IPC at Achabal Check, Khundroo, Nowgam, Ogjibalan, Shangas, who were not following the guidelines issued District Magistrate.

“We have been repeatedly announcing people to stay indoors and have been urging the traders to close their businesses to curb the spread of coronavirus.Now strict action is being taken against those found violating the government order,” Dysp Mr Rafiq Ah Rather told The Kashmiriyat.

The administration has been constantly making announcements, appealing people not to come out of their homes unnecessarily and adhere to the health guidelines.
