15 police officers transferred, SSP Baramulla promoted as DIG south Kashmir

The Home Department of Jammu Kashmir has made 15 transfers in Jammu Kashmir Police after which the former SSP Baramulla Rayees Ahmed Bhat has been posted at the DIG of south Kashmir.

In an official communique, the Home Department has ordered transfers and postings of Police officers.

The Government Order No. 09-Home of 2023, dated: 06.01.2023, accessed by The Kashmiriyat said that Un the interest of administration, the following transfers and postings are hereby ordered, with immediate effect:-

1. Shri Garib Dass, IPS (AGMUT: 1997), Commissioner Civil Military Liaison, holding additional charge of Director SKPA, is transferred and posted as Director SKPA, Udhampur, against an available vacancy.

2. Shri Vivek Gupta, IPS (AGMUT: 2007), DIG Traffic, Jammu, holding additional Charge of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, is transfen•ed and posted as DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, vice Shri Udayabhaskar Billa (AGMUT: 2008), IPS, who is relieved with immediate effect to join his new assignment at the Centre as Deputy Inspector General in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), on deputation basis, for a period of 05 years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in pursuance of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’s No. 14046/60/2022. UTS-I dated 26.12.2022.

3. Shri Imtiaz Ismail Parray (AGMUT: 2009), IPS, Commandant IRP8th Bn., is transferred and posted as DIG Training, Police Headquarters, against an available vacancy.

4. Shri Umesh Kumar, (AGMUT: 2009), Staff Officer to ADGP Railways, J&K, is transferred and posted as DIG Home Guard, Jammu, against an available vacancy.

5. Shri Shakti Kumar Pathak, IPS (AGMUT: 2009), Director special Security Force (SSF), J&K, is transferred and posted as l/c DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Jammu, against an available vacancy.

6. Shri Rayees Mohammad Bhat, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), SSP Baramulla, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG South Kashmir Range, Anantnag, against an available vacancy, relieving Shri Sujit Kumar, IPS, of the additional charge of the post.

7. Shri Shridhar Patil, IPS (AGMUT•.2010), AIG (Tech) Police Headquarters, holding additional charge of the post of Director Police Telecommunication, J&K, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG Traffic, Jammu, vice Shri Vivek Gupta.

8. Dr. Ajeet Singh, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), SSP CID cell, New Delhi, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG State Investigating Agency, against an available vacancy.

9. Shri Altar Ahmed Khan, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), SSP CID Cl Kashmir, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG CID Kashmir, against an available vacancy.

10.Shri Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), Commandant SDRF 1 Bn., Kashmir, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG Railways, J&K, against an available vacancy. The officer shall also look after the work of State Investigating Unit (SIU), Jammu.

1 1.Shri Vikas Gupta, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), OSD in Prisons Department, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG Prisons, J&K, on deputation basis, against an available vacancy. The salary of the officer shall continue to be drawn against the post already transferred to Prisons Department, from overall cadre strength of IPS.

12.Shri Abdul Qayoom, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), Commandant IR.p-9 Bn., is transferred and posted as I/c DIG IR Kashmir, against an available vacancy. The officer shall also look after the work of State Investigating Unit (SIU), Kashn-lir.

13.Ms. Nisha Nathyal, IPS (AGMUT: 2010), Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn., Jammu, is transfen•ed and posted as I/c DIG Armed, Jammu, against an available vacancy. The officer shall also hold additional charge of the post of DIG IR Jammu.

14.Shri Javid Iqbal Matoo, (AGMUT: 2010), AIG (Building) Police Headquarters, is transferred and posted as I/c DIG Crime, J&K, against an available vacancy.

15.Shri Joginder Singh, SSP, Anti Con•uption Bureau, is transferred and posted as Director Special Security Force (SSF), J&K, vice Shrih Sakti Kumar Pathak.
