The number of foreign militants in Jammu Kashmir has increased in the past year, a report of the Home Ministry of India has revealed.
The report said that 134 militants are active in Jammu Kashmir, Of these, 83 are foreign and 51 are locals.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has also claimed that 167 militants have been killed in the Valley so far this year, out of which 41 are foreigners and 126 are locals.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar informed that the number of Foreign militants (FTs) killed this year is double as compared to 2021. In 2021, 21 foreigners were killed, while this year 41 terrorists were killed.
Recently, during the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in Mumbai, the Ministry of Home Affairs had admitted that violence is increasing again in the Kashmir Valley.
