With the elimination of six more Militants in the last 24 hours in different incidents across Kashmir valley the security have come closer to breaching the previous year tally of 213- highest after 2010 when 270 Militants were killed in the joint operations.
According to official sources since January 1, 2018 till date a total number of 193 Militants have been killed by the joint teams of security forces in the State.
Ahead of the peak winter season the security forces are expected to neutralise more Militants in the coming days as several of them hiding in upper reaches of North Kashmir areas are expected to shift to safer hideouts.
To trap them during transit several joint teams of security forces have been closely tracking movement of small groups of foreign terrorists before neutralising them.
Out of an estimated number of around 300 active Militants across Kashmir valley more than 100 foreign terrorists are hiding in different hideouts across frontier districts of North Kashmir.
