Unknown persons hurled a grenade at the office of Superintendent of Police in Awantipora on Friday afternoon resulting in injuries to two persons, one of them has been critically wounded.
A Police official posted in Awantipora confirmed the attack to The Kashmiriyat and said that one civilian has sustained serious injuries.
He has been shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile the Forces have started a search operation around the area to nab the attackers.
