Stone Throwing Clashes in Islamabad Areas

April 03 Tawseef Nazir Stone Throwing protests erupted in Ashajipora and Sarnal areas of South Kashmir's Islamabad town. The Clashes erupted between youth and Troopers, the troopers deployed used force to disperse the protesters, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Sources also said that 6 youth have been arrested in Ashajipora while one more youth has been arrested in Shirpora. Clashes had also erupted in Seer Hamdan and Dialgam areas earlier.

“10 Policemen, 40 Youth Injured in Kangan Clashes, 2 Critical”

April 03 Another clash between youth and Government Forces took place on Tuesday in Jammu Kashmir. As per NewX, the latest information, 20 policemen got injured in stone pelting incident in the Kangan region of Kashmir Valley. Aerial Firing, Tear Gas Shelling on protesters in Islamabad

April 03 (Image used for representation) Nadeem Yusuf The Government Forces on Tuesday resorted to massive tear smoke shelling in Dialgam area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that clashes began in the area when youth threw stones on troopers deployed in the area. As Soon as more youth joined the protests, the troopers fired aerial shots and tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters, Eyewitnesses said. The Clashes were going on when this report was filed. The Police however refuted the reports of Aerial firing and said no such incident of firing took place in the locality.

Another Youth from Kangan Critical

April 03 Another Youth from Kangan has been rushed to SKIMS in Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon. “The Youth has been injured during clashes in Kangan,” Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Clashes had erupted in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to demand the body of another youth, Gowhar who as per Family succumbed to injuries early morning on Tuesday. The Injured has been identified Amir Hameed Lone Son of Abdul Hameed Lon, a resident of Chittergul Kangan. A hospital official told The Kashmiriyat that he has received an injury and is constantly bleeding from his head.

Zakir Musa’s affiliate arrested in Sopore

April 03 Sajad Hameed The Jammu Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a Local militant affiliated with 'Gazwat-ul-Hind' outfit. The Militant was arrested by 52RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police during search operation at Chit Hygam Sopore in North Kashmir. He has been identified as Parvez Ahmed, a resident of Tral in South Kashmir. An OGW identified as Amir Abdullah has been also been arrested. The Police also claimed that arms and ammunition have been recovered from his possession.

Massive Clashes Erupt in Soura

April 03 (Image for Representation) Massive clashes erupted in Soura area of Srinagar on Tuesday against the Shopian Killings. Scores of youth came out on the streets raising pro Freedom and Pro Militant Slogans, a local told The Kashmiriyat. The troopers deployed in the area used tear smoke shells on the protesters, locals said. Youth threw stones on the troopers deployed in the area. The clashes were going on when this report was filed.  

“Army Barged Into Our House, Abused us, Ransacked our Property”

April 03   Jahangeer Ganie A family in South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Tuesday claimed that army soldiers ransacked their residential house completely and smashed window panes of whole house. “When I was in the bed, the army soldiers barged into his house and started ransacking it,” Mushtaq Ahmed Chopan, a resident of Neva Pulwama told The Kashmiriyat. He added that the soldiers barged into the house without any provocation and started ransacking the household. “They also abused and threatened the inmates,” Mushtaq said while Speaking to The Kashmiriyat.  “The female members of the family, particularly the little daughters burst into tears,” he added. Ganderbal Lawyers Observe ‘Pen Down’ Strike Against Shopian Killings

The Bar is observing the strike to protest the incident of the Youth injury during police chase on Monday Evening. BAR remained on strike against the recent civilian killings on Monday as well. April 03 Rayees Shah Massive Clashes erupted in Kangan area of Central Kashmir's Ganderbal District on Tuesday. "Heavy clashes erupted after the relatives of Gowhar claimed that Gowhar has succumbed to the injuries," locals told The Kashmiriyat. The Troopers deployed in the area used force to disperse the protesters. However the Protests were going on when this report was filed. Police has meanwhile claimed that he is still alive. The Hospital authorities have refused to comment on the issue.

April 03 The killing of 13 militants in the Kashmir Valley in one night was unusual but it came as ultras had gathered at one spot to hold a “planning conference.” The Army used good ground-based information and technology to bust such a big group of armed militants. Sources here said the encounter at Draggad village in Shopian district was the biggest as it led to the death of seven militants. The militants were to hold the “planning conference” to chalk out their strategy for the summer ahead at a house in the village.
