April 03 Rayees Shah The relatives of Kangan Youth Gowhar Ahmed Rather  who was critically injured in clashes yesterday said that Gowhar has succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS. Witnesseses told The Kashmiriyat that a youth namely Gowhar Ahmad Rather,was a part of group that had assembled near main market Kangan on Monday evening. According to reports, the injured youth was rushed to Kangan Sub-district hospital for initial treatment. Doctors had referred the injured to SKIMS Soura hospital for advanced treatment. Medical Superintendent Kangan hospital told “Gowhar had injury in the head so we had to refer him to SKIMS”. April 03 The Arm of a Slain Militant was two days after he was killed in an encounter with Government Forces at Kacdoora area of Shopian in South Kashmir. "The Arm was found inside the rubles of the house in which 5 Militants were killed on Sunday,' A local told The Kashmiriyat. The crowds present at the encounter site burst into wails and tears as the arm was found, the local said. The Arm was later taken to a local graveyard, he said. 5 Militants were killed in an encounter with Government forces on Sunday in a residential house in Kachdoora area. Four of them were identified as Aetimad Fayaz Malik, A resident of Amashipora, Ihsfaq Thokur from Paddderpora Shopian, Sameer Ahmed Lone from Hilow Shopian, Mohammed Abbas Bhat of Kulgam.

April 03 The Inspector General of Jammu Kashmir Police (IGP) on Tuesday has said that the tourists have never been targeted in Kashmir. Kashmir always has been a safe place for tourists, recently a group of women tourists had said Kashmir is the safest place for women to travel to. April 03 Fareeda Mushtaq, who is in her late twenties, was moved out of the intensive care unit at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) during the movement and taken to post-operative care. April 03 The Kashmir Valley has shut down for the third consecutive day against the killings of 12 Militants and 4 Civilians in South Kashmir. Life has come to a standstill throughout the valley as Troopers are patrolling the streets in most parts of the valley.
