Forces upon fire inside hospital in Shopian Hospital, ‘Do not target them’: Shopian Doctors Request

April 02 The Government forces today indiscriminate firing upon protesters inside the district hospital in Shopian township after clashes erupted in the south Kashmir area. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that after the funeral of the local militant, Zubair Ahmed Turray killed in an encounter, the forces fired tear smoke shells toward people. "Clashes spread to all nearby areas and the forces soon entered the hospital to retrieve the dead body of the slain militant Zubair Turray," they said. April 01 Another civilian of south Kashmir’s Shopian district has succumbed to his injuries and was brought dead at SKIMS Soura this evening, SOurces told The Kashmiriyat Sources identified the as Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, 35 of Shopian. “He was brought dead to the hospital this evening,” Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan said.

April 01 Nadeem Yusuf Militants on Sunday offered Gun Salute to slain Rouf Bashir Khanday who was killed in a nocturnal Encounter that erupted in South Kashmir’s Shopian District, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
