April 01 Second Civilian has been killed in Sugan area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District during the clashes in the area. The Civilian has been identified as Bilal Ahmed, a resident of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District. Earlier a civilian identified as Niyaaz Ahmad from Kachdoora Shopian has been shot dead. April 11 A Special Police Officer Mohammad Ashraf Mir resident of Machpuna Pulwama who was shot at in Murran chowk Pulwant succumbed to his injuries. Suspected militants had Shot & injured Ashraf near Muran chowk Pulwama in South Kashmir. He was Shifted to a Srinagar hospital in critical condition.

April 01 At least 10 Militants have been Killed in the ongoing Encounter in South Kashmir's Shopian District. 3 Militants have been Killed in the Kachdoora area of Shopian, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. The 44 RR,  CRPF  and zainpora police cordoned off Dragad area of sugan village after receiving inputs that a group of militants are hiding in the area. April 01 At least two dozen people have been Injured in the Ongoing Massive Clashes that erupted in Shopian District of South Kashmir. Meanwhile people of Shopian have poured on the streets shouting Pro Militant Slogans. There have been reports of Protests from Sugan  Zainpora, Dragad and Kachdoora areas. Clashes reportedly have erupted in Many other Localities of Shopian. A Complete Shutdown is being observed throughout South Kashmir including Islamabad, Pulwama and Kulgam. Meanwhile Internet and Railway services have been snapped across South Kashmir.  

April 01 Seven Militants have been killed in the ongoing Shopian Encounters which may include Zeenat ul Islam. Two encounters are currently underway in Jammu Kashmir's Dragad and Kachdora villages of Shopian district. So far, one Militant has been killed while another arrested. Five Army personnel is injured in Shopian's Kachdoora, another injured in Dragad. The encounters started began late on Saturday night. Police and Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 3 RR, 34 RR, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are part of the operation at both the places. The DGP of Jammu Kashmir Police has confirmed that 7 Militants Bodies have been recovered from the encounter site which includes top commanders as well.

Intense clashes between protesters and government forces erupted near gunfight sites in south Kashmir’s Shopian district where two gunfights between militants and forces are underway Sunday. Gunfight raged at Dragad area of Sugan and Kachdora villages of Shopian, official sources said. Hundreds of protesters assembled and pelted stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shelling and pellet firing at both Kachdora and Draged. Earlier army said that a militant has been killed at Draged village during the gunfight.
