CASO launched in Pulwama Area

June 28 The Government Forces following an input about Militant movement in the Hajin area of Pulwama have launched a cordon and Search Operation in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police have launched a massive search operation in the area near Hajin. A Door to door search operation has been initiated in the area after all the entry and exit points were sealed. Details Emerging.

Father of Five Children Joins Militancy

June 28 Amid growing Militancy, a father of five children has joined militancy in Kishtwar district of Chenab Valley two days ago. The Jammu Kashmir Police in Kishtwar has already declared the 34-year-old Talib Gujjar, son of late Noor Mohammad, of Rashgwari, Padyarana in Nagsini tehsil of Kishtwar as a militant after he remained absconding for last two years. Talib had disappeared mysteriously in July 2016 prompting his family to lodge a missing report with Kishtwar police on 21-3-2017. Truck Transporting cattle into Kashmir Set on Fire

June 27 A Truck Transporting bovines to the Kashmir valley was set ablaze by a group of youth on Srinagar- Jammu Highway near Ramban area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a group of youth intercepted a truck carrying cattle into the Kashmir valley and later set it on fire, however the cattle were recovered by the local Police. Nearly two dozen bovine were rescued from the truck before it was set ablaze, police officials said. As the news of cattle being transported into the valley youth gathered at the highway and raised pro Hindu and Anti Government slogans. 10 BSF Men Coming to Kashmir Missing

June 27 The Border Security Forces has said ten of its men coming to Kashmir have went missing from a railway station. As Per officials 83 BSF Men were coming in a special train to Jammu Kashmir while 10 of them went missing all of a a sudden from Mughalsarai Railway station. The Men have reportedly not informed their officer in charge post which he filed a First Information Report at the Railway Police Station. The Special train was travelling from West Bengal to Jammu's Samba Region, and when the soldiers were counted at Mughalsarai railway station 10 of them were found absconding.

Amarnath Update- Second Group of Pilgrims Leave from Base Camps

June 27 The Annual Hindu Pilgrimage, Amarnath Yatra began on Thursday amid light rainfall in the Kashmir valley with the second batch of 3,425 pilgrims leaving from here for two base camps in the Kashmir Valley. The Yatris left in two groups: The first group of Yatris left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas at 3.55 a.m. in an escorted convoy for Baltal base camp and the other group left at 4.20 a.m. for Pahalgam base camp. "The second batch of 3,425 pilgrims includes 2,679 males, 592 females, three children and 151 Sadhus," police officials said. The 60-day long Amarnath Yatra will end on August 26. The MET department has forecast occasional rain and thunder showers along both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes to the cave shrine on Thursday.
