Army Prepares List of 22 Most Wanted Militants

June 23 The Indian Army has prepared the List of the Most wanted Militants operating in the Kashmir valley. 22 Militants have been included in the list, 17 of them hail from South Kashmir where Militancy has seen a surge since July 08, 2016 when the popular Militant commander, Burhan Wani was killed. The Indian Army launched an Operation all out against Militancy in jammu kashmir and due to the heightened Anti Militancy Operations more than 220 Militants were gunned down the last year. CASO Launched in Shopian Area

June 22   Jahangeer Ganie A Massive Cordon and Search Operation has been launched by Government Forces in Pehlipora area of Shopian District in South Kashmir. Militant Attack in Pulwama Area, Search Operation Launched

June 22 Jahangeer Ganie Suspected Militant opened fire on Indian Army in Machpuna area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Sources told The kashmiriyat that Militants opened fire upon a party of 55 RR Deployed near Machpuna chowk in Pulwama on Friday afternoon. As per initial reports nobody has been injured in the attack, meanwhile a search operation has been launched in the area.

June 22 Jahangeer Ganie Unknown Persons lobbed a grenade on Government Forces in Main chowk in Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sirigufwara Encounter- Fourth Militant Identified as Engineering student from Islamabad

June 22 Muzaffar Itoo The fourth Militant killed in Sirigufwara area of South Kashmir's Islamabad District has been identified as Ashraf Itoo. Ashraf is a resident of Hatigam area in Sirigufwara who had left home 5 months ago. He was earlier pursuing engineering Studies from Islamic university of science and Technology in Awantipora. Ashraf was 21 years old, his family member told The Kashmiriyat. Four Militants were killed in a Gunfight that raged In Sirigufwara area early morning today. Sirigufwara Encounter- 3 out of the Four Militants identified

June 22 Three out of the four Militants killed in Sirigufwara encounter in South Kashmir's Islamabad district have been identified. Officials identified the slain Militants to the Kashmiriyat as Majid Manzoor from Pulwama, Aadil (Dawood) from HMT Srinagar and Adil Mir from Sheipora of Sirigufwara. The official said that the identify of the court one is being ascertained. A gunfight had begun in the area when militants reportedly opened fire on a party of government forces who were conducting a search operation in the area. The owner of the house in which militabts were allegedly hiding was also killed in the firing and his wife injured. The operation was jointly launched by 3 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir police and CRPF.
