June 22 Jahangeer Ganie The Tral area has shut down for the third consecutive day to mourn the killings of three Militants in the Nazneenpora in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that shops, educational institutes and business establishments have shut in the area Three militants, including a non-local, identified as Danish Khaliq Dar and Adil Akram Lone were killed during a gun battle with government forces at Tral on Tuesday.

June 22 Authorities today suspended mobile Internet services in Srinagar and Islamabad districts of the Valley and as a precautionary measure in the wake of the ongoing encounter in Sirigufwara area of South kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. June 22 Waris Shah Intense Clashes have erupted on Friday morning in the Main town area of Pulwama in South Kashmir. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that scores of youth started throwing stones on a Local Police Post in the area. Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy Slogans the youth hit the streets as the news of a gunfight in Islamabad (Anantnag) district reached there. The troops chased away the protesting youth. However the clashes were going on when this report was filed.

June 22 A lady and her husband were injured aft3e being hit with bullets near encounter site in Sirigufwara Bijbehara in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that they were hit by bullets during the initial exchange if gunfire. They both were shifted to District hospital in Islamabad from where they have been referred to Srinagar for treatment, hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat. Hospital officials identified them as Rafiqa Banoo who has sustained a Hand injury and Mohammed Yusuf Rather who has sustained a leg injury. June 22 Four local Militants linked to Tehreek Up Mujahideen are believed to be trapped at the encounter site. Highly placed sources told The Kashmiriyat that four militants who are all locals have been engaged in a Gunfight with Government Forces. They identified the Militants as Adil, Majid, Khalid and Dawood. They told The Kashmiriyat that two of them are from shilpora and hidgam of Sirigufwara while one is from Srinagar. Massive firing was going on when this report was filed. A local from Sirigufwara told The Kashmiriyat that massive clashes are going on at the encounter site.

June 22 Intense Clashes have erupted in Sirigufwara area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that thousands of civilians including men and women have hit the streets trying to give a chance to trapped militants to escape. Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militants slogans, people have hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces, they said.
