At Least 47 Youth have Joined Militants in Last 2 Months

July 20 The Indian Government Forces have been trying their possible best to keep youth away from Militancy with verbal pleas, however it does not seem be making any impact on the ground, as more youth continue to enter the Militant ranks, in fact the Militant outfits that had gone invisible have too been attracting educated youth from well to do with exams. This year Ph.D Scholars including Manan Wani of Kupwara, Waseem Rather of Kulgam, Mohammed Rafi M.Phil Scholar Zubair Ahmed from Islamabad, M.A Urdu Nawaz Ahmed Wagay from Shopian, three men from Government forces have also joined militants ranks this year, taking the number of youth joining Militant the ranks beyond 100. CASO Launched in Melhora Shopian

July  20 A Cordon and Search operation has been launched at of Khah Mohallah of Melhoora area in South Kashmir's Shopian District on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the locality. Following a specific input about Militant movement, the troops have launched a door to door search operation in the area. Details emerging.

Another Educated Youth Joins Militant Ranks

July 20 Another Youth from South Kashmir has joined Militant ranks making him one of the at least hundred youth to have joined Militant ranks this year. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Syed Ruban, a son of Syed Hussain Shah has joined Militant outfit, Jaish e Muhammad. The 21 year old, a graduate was missing from his home in Nazneenpora area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. South Kashmir have been joining Militancy swiftly since the three encounters of April 01 when 13 Militants were killed in a single day. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that they're checking the authenticity of the photo that has appeared on the internet.

Another CASO Launched in Islamabad

July 2 The Indian Army's 19RR and Jammu Kashmir Police have launched a massive Cordon and search operation in Anderwan and Shalnad Villages of Kokernag area in South Kashmir's Islamabad. Officials confirmed that the CASO was launched following specific inputs about Militant movement in the villages. The Forces have cordoned off the villages and sealed the entry and exit points before initiating a search operation in the area. This is pertinently the second CASO launched in the district since morning, a CASO is also going on in Krangsoo, Mattan area of the District.

July 19 Two More youth from South Kashmir's Pulwama district have joined Militants as their photos have been doing rounds on Social networking sites. One youth as per photograph has been identified as Irfan Ahmed Digoo Son of Manzoor Ahmed Digoo resident of Naina Batpora in Sangam area of South Kashmir. Irfan was a student of B.Sc First year before he went missing the last month from his residence in Batpora. Locals of the area while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that he has been missing for a while and his parents have been looking for him since. Zakir Musa Planning Fidayeen Attack in Punjab, Jammu- Intelligence Agencies Warn

July 19 The Intelligence agencies have warned that Militant commander Zakir Rashid Bhatt alias Musa is planning a fidayeen attack on police personnel deployed in the state of Punjab and Jammu, reported Zee News. Zakir Musa, who heads the Militant outfit Ansar Gazwat ul Hind, is sending recruits to Jammu region to prepare for the attack, the report claimed. Aided by his deputy Rehan, Musa is preparing to launch fidayeen attacks targeting the police personnel using fresh recruits. The report further claims that Zakir has prepared a list of the targeted locations, primarily police offices, vital installations belonging to the Government forces ahead of the attack. Labourer Dies while Unloading Cement in Verinag

July 19 SHEIKH NADEEM/ WARIS SHAH A labour died on the spot when he was unloading cement at main market Verinag after a tipper dumper hit him on Thursday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the labourer identified as Lateef Ahmad Cheechi son of Shams u Din Cheechi, a resident of Verinag area in South Kashmir's Islamabad died while he was unloading the cement. Police officials told The Kashmiriyat that his body has been handed over to his family for his last rites.

Dead Body of Youth Fished out in Pulwama

July 19 The body of a youth was fished our from Jhelum river in Lelhar Kakpora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Thursday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the youth who had gone for swimming in the river drowned and could not swim back to the shore, His body was later recovered by the locals but not before he had died. The deceased was identified as Amir Ahmed from Reshipora in Awantipora area of South Kashmir. Police officials confirmed the death of the youth to The Kashmiriyat.

Amid these growing encounters two more youth from South Kashmir districts of Shopian and Islamabad (Anantnag) have joined the Militant ranks. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Adil Ahmed Dass son of Abdul Rehman Dass, a resident of Waghama in Bijbehara area in Islamabad (Anantnag) District has joined Militant outfit Lashkar e Taiba.
