Terrorism is not a Crime, Cow Slaughter is, Says BJP MP

July 31 Mob lynching across India by cow vigilantes and the politics over it is making the situation worse. Commenting on the mob killing cases in Rajasthan's Alwar, BJP MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja on Monday said cow slaughtering is a bigger crime than terrorism as cows are treated as mothers in India and any 'misbehaviour' with them cannot be tolerated. He had earlier accused the Rajhastan police of the recent case of alleged mob killing in Alwar over suspicion of cow smuggling, in which one Rakbar alias Rakbar Khan died after being thrashed by a cow vigilante group. Ahuja said that, "Terrorists kill 2-5 people, but cow slaughtering hurts sentiments of several thousand and even lakhs of people."

13 Year Old Mentally Challenged Girl Raped by 10 Men in Meghalaya

July 31 A 13-year-old mentally challenged girl was raped by 10 persons, including two minor, for over two months in Meghalaya. The incident came to light after an FIR was lodged by the girl’s family at the Resubelpara police station on Saturday. As per reports, the crime was witnessed by the wife of an accused and she informed the village elders about it. Following this, the family of the girl came to know about the trauma which their daughter was facing since two months. A PTI report states that the family of the girl was called for a meeting by the village heads to discuss over a compromise. However, the family refused to it and lodged an FIR. 2 Arrested with 30 Kilo Poppy

July 31 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested Two persons  with 30 kg of poppy on the outskirts of Jammu city. During routine checks at Manwal village, last night, a Maruti car driver tried to evade the police party. The police followed the car and nabbed its driver and his companion after a short chase. As much as 30 kg of poppy was found in the car. Following this, a case was registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and the duo were arrested. During questioning, the accused said they brought the drug consignment from Srinagar to sell the same to the youth of Jammu. The police official said more persons are suspected to be involved in the case and further investigation is on.

July 31 A Cordon and Search Operation has been launched in Chakwali Tulail of Gurez Sector of North Kashmir's Bandipora District on Tuesday. The 51 RR Of Indian Army, and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched the operation, Officials told The Kashmiriyat. Locals said that huge contingents of troops are conducting a search operation in the area. The search operation has been launched following a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Officials said.

Militants Pose with Sophisticated Weapon- Photo Goes Viral

July 31 The Image of a Local Militant Azad Malik alias Dada of Arwani area in South Kashmir posing with a new weapon has surfaced. This is a relatively new weapon and has not been used in the Valley before. As per a story carried by One India, The Indian Security agencies are on job to find out more details on the weapon and say that it has been provided by the Pakistan army. In the past, Militants have only used Ak 47 or Ak 56 Guns but last year too, the image of Sameer tiger, a slain Militant had appeared holding a M4 Carbine. The Indian Security Agencies have reports that the Militants are planning to move on to more sophisticated weapons in a bid to challenge the Indian Government forces.

July 31 After continuous protests of more than a month, the Barzulla family is likely to get the mortal remains of Mudasir Ahmed today on Tuesday. Mudasir Ahmed had left his home in Old Barzulla Srinagar in December 2016 for some work. He stayed in touch with family members on phone, but in January his phone became switched off. On June 29 this year, Mudasir had been killed in an encounter in Kupwara. The family went to Kralpora Kupwara police station where they were told that the slain was a foreigner and had been buried. July 30 Two Places in Islamabad District have been sieged by Government Forces following specific inputs about Militant presence in the areas. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 19 RR of Indian Army 164 BN of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police laid a cordon and search operation in Mir Maidan area of Dooru in South Kashmir's Islamabad District.
