Kashmir University announces Counselling Dates for Under Graduate Courses

July 28 The University of kashmir has announced dates for counselling in various undergraudate courses including BBA/BCA/B.Sc-IT/ B.A. (Hons) Mass Communication & Multimedia Production (MCMP) for the Academic Session 2018. The University through a circular has said that the counselling is scheduled on 30.07.2018 to 31.07.2018 at 11:00 a.m in the office chamber of the Dean, College Development Council. Forces Launch CASO in Pulwama, Intense Stone Pelting Begins

July 28 Massive Clashes erupted during a CASO launched in Bellow area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. The Government forces laid down a Cordon and search operation in area Bellow area  on Saturday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. Hundreds of youth hit the streets when the Anti Militancy operation was launched and threw stones on troops amid intense pro Freedom sloganeering. Meanwhile A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area. The clashes were going on when this report was filed.

July 28 Despite repeated verbal attempts of the Director General of Jammu Kashmir Police, SP vaid, Militancy is showing no signs of declination. In fact the Army General of India has been constantly asking the local Kashmiri youth to give up arms and asking people to keep their wards away from militancy. 49 Killed as Rains Lash Uttar Pradesh

July 28 As many as 49 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh since Thursday reports said. The maximum deaths were reported with Saharanpur at 11 deaths, as heavy rains created eaked havoc in different parts of the North Indian State. The Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath has directed senior officials of all districts to alert people and asked them to undertake extensive tours in the affected areas, Government officials said. They said that Directives have been issued to extend monetary assistance to those who have been severely affected by rains.

July 28 A youth namely Ishfaq Ahmad wani son of late Mohammad yousuf wani resident of Koil village of Pulwama district is missing from last seven days and his family is afraid that he might have joined militant ranks. Ishfaq an MBA pass out from Baba Gulam shah Badshah university Rajouri has left his home on 20th of this month and since then he is untraceable,  one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat. "Ishfaq has told us that he was going to take part in examination at Baba Gulam shah Badshah university in Rajouri before leaving home," the  family member added. Another Policeman Abducted in South Kashmir

July 28 Suspected Militants have abducted yet another policeman from South Kashmir's Pulwama district late night on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that gunmen barged into the house of Shakeel Ahmed Lone at his residence in Chan Kitar area of Tral and abducted him late night on Friday. Earlier on July 20, a trainee constable Saleem was abducted from his residence in Mutalhama area of Kulgam, while he was on a leave. His bullet-riddled body, bearing severe torture marks, was recovered later. On July 5, constable Javaid Ahmad Dar, who was also at home on leave was abducted from Vehil, Shopian. His body was found in Kulgam next day.

July 27 The Government Forces on Friday Night launched a search operation in Srandoo area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Local Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Government Forces including RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police are frisking vehicles and have also searched some locals in the area.
