Tariq Khan- The Son of a Political Stalwart is a Militant Now

August 12 In the corner of his three storey house, Nazir Ahmed Khan welcomes people who visit him as his son Tariq has recently joined Militancy. On July 25, bullets and grenades ripped through the building, walls damaged by the explosions, ceilings cracked, the windows and doors and glasses smashed to pieces. The house is one of the few testimonies left to a gunfight that raged in the South Kashmir township of Islamabad after a tranquil gap of 13 years. 65 Year old Woman Injured During Clashes in Pulwama amid CASO

August 12 A 65 year old woman identified as Saja Begum and a youth have been injured in the intense clashes that erupted in the Kar Mohallah of Sirnoo in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Teenage Girl Gang raped by three men in Jammu

August 12 A 19-year-old was gang-raped by three men in Reasi area of Jammu division. The victim committed suicide by jumping in the Chenab river after the gang rape, reports said. However, due to absence of any substantial information, the police are investigating the case. Apart from this, a man has been detained on the basis of the call details received from the victim's mobile. According to the police, the victim's father filed a complaint of her disappearance on July 24. A person named Paramjit Singh has been detained on the basis of the phone history of the girl. Youth Injured in Tosa Maidan Blast Succumbs

August 12 A youth identified as Wajid Ahmed Ahanger who was injured in the Tosa Maidan mysterious blast has succumbed to his injuries at JVC SKIMS in Srinagar. Four more youth were injured in the blast on Sunday morning and later shifted to SDH in Khag area of Budgam while the rest of the three were shifted to Srinagar for treatment. Wajid who had suffered multiple splinter injuries has succumbed to his injuries. Two of the injured have been identified as Wasim Ahmad Ganai aged 21 and Mudassir Ahmad Ganai, aged 20 both residents of Zwugu in Budgam.

Search Operation Launched in Bangidar Islamabad

August 12 The Government Forces on Sunday afternoon launched a search operation in the Bangidar area of Islamabad township in South Kashmir. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Government Force personnel in large numbers reached the Bangidar Locality and are conducting massive search operation in the area. Police Arrest Three in Blind Murder Case

August 12 Police on Sunday claimed to have solved a blind murder case by arresting the accused persons involved in the crime. A police spokesman said that on 27th of June 2018, Police at Chrar-i-Sharief received a complaint from Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Watkulu about missing of his son Samir Ahmad Dar from 24th of June 2018. Accordingly a missing report was lodged in Police Station Char-i-Sharief and investigation was started. On 10th of July 2018, body of the said missing person was found in irrigation Dam at Yousmarg. On the basis of evidence, a case FIR number 43/2018 under section 302 RPC was registered and investigation was initiated. August 12 SHEIKH NADEEM/ WARIS SHAH Three persons were injured when a Snatro car collided with a tipper in Sagam area of Kokernag in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Sunday afternoon. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a Santro JK03D 9675 collided with a Tipper bearing the registration number JK05A 4081 resulting in the injury of three persons. August 12 Stone throwing clashes began in Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Sunday morning when scores of youth started throwing stones on Government Forces in the area. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that youth in large numbers shouting pro Militancy and pro Freedom slogans threw stones on troops deployed in the area.
