Major Tragedy in Islamabad Village- Four Dead After falling down into a Trench

August 12 Four persons died after they tumbled into a Trench in Khanpora area of Utersoo in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) area on Sunday Morning. A Police official posted in the area identified the lady as Shameema Wife of Maqbool Khan. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that a lady died on the spot while four other persons were injured when they fell down into a under construction trench in the area. Locals rushed to the spot and rescued them out of the trench and shifted them to the hospital. Imran Khan Wants Resumption of Talks with India Over Kashmir

August 12 Imran Khan, expected to be sworn in as Pakistan’s new premier next week has called for a resumption of the dialogue with India on all outstanding issues, including Kashmir. Imran made the remarks during a meeting in Islamabad with Indian envoy Ajay Bisaria, who congratulated the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman on his electoral success. A PTI spokesman said Khan had called for the resumption of bilateral talks. “He (Imran Khan) said if we won’t talk, how will we resolve issues. One incident of terrorism should not hamper talks,” Chaudhry said. Meanwhile Imran Khan expressed concern over human rights violations in Kashmir during the 30-minute meeting.

August 12 The Government Forces after conducting Massive search operations in the Batamaloo locality of Srinagar have lifted the siege after nearly seven hours. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Earlier Government Forces had laid a siege around Deyarwani area of locality around 3 am and at approximately 4 Am, they came under massive gunfire from Militants. In the initial exchange of gunfire, one trooper identified as Sgct Parvaiz was killed and three other were injured. Militants Reportedly Escape after a Brief Gunfight in Srinagar

August 12 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in the Deyarwani area of Batamaloo locality  in Srinagar early morning on Sunday. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that CRPF, Jammu Kashmir Police and jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. The Encounter started when Army was fired upon by a group of Militants near the Unani Hospital in the Deyarwani area. In the initial exchange of fire, three Government Force personnel including two CRPF Men, one Jammu Kashmir Policemen were injured while one JKP Cop was killed. Temple Priest Arrested for Raping a Woman in Mumbai

August 11 A 77-year-old man, a temple priest, was arrested today for allegedly molesting a woman in Kalyan area in the district, police said. Gopal Tambe, the accused, was booked under section 354 of IPC (molestation), said assistant police inspector S S Rajput of Kolsewadi police station.
