Minor Girl Kidnapped, Rescued by Jammu Kashmir Police

September 15 A minor girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from her house in Rajouri, was rescued in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday. The accused, Kapil Dev, of Jamola village of Rajouri was arrested during a rescue operation, a police spokesperson said. He said a man from Kharak village had lodged a missing report of her daughter on September 7 and during initial investigation it came to the fore that she has been kidnapped by Dev, who was living in a rented accommodation in Jawahar Nagar area of Rajouri. Hurriyat Calls for a Shutdown on Monday

September 15 The Hurriyat leaders have called for a shutdown on Monday against the civilian and militant killings in southern Kashmir’s Kulgam district. They appealed people to observe a complete shutdown against the killings. Five militants and one civilian were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Chowgam village of the district.

September 15 A Truck Driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Udhampur area of Jammu - Srinagar Highway on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat a truck driver identified as Abdul Hameed Sheikh, a resident of Ranbirpora Mattan was found dead in the vehicle bearing the registration number JK03 6460. The conductor of the truck Bilal Ahmed went to wake the driver, Hameed up, but he found him unconscious after which he rushed him to the Udhampur hospital where he was declared as brought dead by the Doctors. Father Dead, Son Critically Injured in Pattan Road Accident

September 15 A man has died while his son received grievous injuries in a tragic road accident, at Pattan area of Baramulla in North Kashmir on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a bus bearing the registration number JK01C 0782 rammed into a private vehicle (ALTO) bearing registration number JK01J 6169 resulting in the on spot death of a man while his son critically injured. The injured son was rushed to Srinagar hospital for treatment. They have been identified deceased as Omkar Singh, while his injured son has been identified as Rajpal Singh residents of Aulichi Bagh Srinagar.

469.92 Crore disbursed under District Credit Action Plan 2018-19 in Anantnag Islamabad by June end

September 15 District Development Commissioner Islamabad (Anantnag) , Mohammad Younis Malik who is also the chairman of District Level Consultative Cum Committee (DLCC) chaired the meeting of DLRC for the 1 st quarter ending June -2018 here at Dak Bunglow Khanabal to review the progress achieved under District Credit Action Plan – 2018-19. September 15 A 22 year old youth from Charar e Shareef area of Central Kashmir has gone missing from his home since thursday. Mohammed Iqbal Rather son of Abdul Khaliq Rather, a student of BSc Nursing at Sher e Kashmir institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar went missing on Thursday. Friends of iqbal who held a protest demonstration at Srinagar today told The Kashmiriyat that there has been no trace of Iqbal since Friday. Spontaneous Shutdown in Islamabad, Kulgam Areas

September 15 A Spontaneous shutdown is being observed in most of the parts of South Kashmir's Kulgam and Islamabad (Anantnag) Districts on Saturday as an encounter has raged between Militants and Government Forces in Qazigund area of South Kashmir. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that shops, business establishments in both the districts have shut following the killing of Local Militants in the encounter. Many Educational institutes in both the Districts have been closed for the day and mobile internet has been shut as a 'precautionary measure' in both the districts. Railway Services to and From South Kashmir have been suspended by Railway authorities.
