Teacher Tries to Molest a Girl Student in Kupwara

September 12 A Rehbar e Taleem teacher was placed under suspension after he allegedly tried to molest a Girl student in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that, ReT teacher Hilal Ahmad allegedly tried to molest a Girl Student of upper Primary class in Lilam area of Kupwara. The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara confirmed that the teacher has been placed under suspension vide order number 1045-49.

North Kashmir areas Shut for the Second Day against Militant Killings

September 12 A Shutdown is being observed on Wednesday in Langate, Zaengeer, and Handwara area of North Kashmir over killing of two local militants yesterday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Business establishment’s are shut and traffic is off the roads. The mobile internet service and class work in Government Degree College (GDC) and Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) remained suspended for the second day as a precautionary measure in Handwara in Kupwara. The administration has also ordered suspension of class work in GDC Handwara and all Higher Secondary Schools of Mawar and Langate zones as a precautionary measure.

CRPF Man Injured in Jammu Shootout, Arms recovered during searches

September 12 A CRPF man was injured after suspected militants travelling on a truck opened fire on a CRPF naka party in Jajjar Kotli area along the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Wednesday. Soon after the incident, government forces launched a massive cordon and search operation (CASO) in the area. A source said that at unknown persons opened fire at the CRPF party deployed for naka duty on the highway around 8:10 am, leaving a CRPF man injured. The injured man, identified as Domesh Dass, was shifted to a hospital for treatment. “Soon after the incident, a massive search operation was launched in the area and high alert was also sounded,” said a police official. A bus bearing registration number JK01C-4779 rammed into an army vehicle along the Srinagar-Gulmarg highway near Tangmarg. Early Morning CASO Launched in Bijbehara

September 12 The Government Forces on Tuesday jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Sheikh Mohallah at Bijbehara area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday morning, the forces including 1 RR of Indian Army, and SOG of Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Sheikh Mohallah area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Islamabad (Anantnag) locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Grenade Attack on Police Station in Pattan

September 11 Rayees Shah Unknown persons hurled a grenade on Police Station  in Pattan area of North Kashmir's Baramulla District late evening on Tuesday Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade on a Police Station in Pattan area which missed the target and exploded near the gate of the Police station. As per initial reports, nobody has been injured in the attack. A police official while confirming the attack said a search operation has been launched around the area.
