School Building Destroyed in Fire in Budgam

September 06 A government middle school was gutted in a mysterious fire incident in Attina locality of Beerwah area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that fire erupted at around 1130 pm from the school at Attina and engulfed the whole school building. Locals rushed to the spot initially and then a team of Jammu Kashmir Police fire and emergency rushed to the spot and to douse off the flames. The  school building suffered an extensive damage in the massive fire.

September 06 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed that Feroz Ahmed who was admitted with a slit throat in District hospital on Islamabad (Anantnag) was a suspect of Militant outfit Jaish- e- Mohammad. He was rushed to hospital by Police when he tried to end his life in the Police custody. CASO Launched in Shopian Area

September 06 Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Wathoo area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Late afternoon on Thursday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Wathoo area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Man Detained By Forces, Brought to Islamabad Hospital with Slit Throat

September 06 A man with a slit throat was brought to the District hospital of Islamabad (Anantnag) in South Kashmir on Thursday afternoon. Hospital Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a man with a slit throat was brought to the hospital by some unknown persons and dropped straight outside the operation theater. The Doctors rushed him to the operation theater where he is currently undergoing surgery. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the man is Feroz Ahmed Hajam son of Ghulam Rasool Hajam, a resident of Khrachi in Kokernag Islamabad (Anantnag).
