Man Beaten Inside Police Station, Admitted in District Hospital Islamabad

September 03 A 46 year old man identified as Bashir Ahmed Reshi has been roughed up and assaulted by Jammu Kashmir Police in police lock up at Utersoo in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Monday. Family of Bashir told The Kashmiriyat that Bashir was arrested by Jammu Kashmir Police after an FIR had been lodged against him in the Utersoo Police station after which he was arrested by the Police. "A Policeman has thrashed him severely inside the lockup after which they referred him to the nearby Shangus Primary health care center, however the Doctors there referred him to Islamabad Distrcit hospital," his wife Wazira told The Kashmiriyat. Many posts are being spread that JRL has called for a shutdown tomorrow against the killing of a civilian in Pulwama, which are totally fake and baseless. The amalgam has not called issued any shutdown call for tomorrow.

One of the youth in the photographs was identified as Amir Ahmed Bhat and Umar Ahmed Dhobi, both residents of Shopian. September 03 After the Jammu Kashmir Police prepared a list of 17 Most wanted Militants in Jammu Kashmir, the Indian Army has come out with a fresh list of its 15 Most Wanted Militants. In the fresh list are the names of some of the most dreaded militant commanders including Zakir Musa, Riyaz Naikoo, Dr. Saifullah and Abu Hanzala. Spontaneous Shutdown, Clashes in Pulwama After Killing of Youth

September 03 Violent clashes have erupted in Pulwama town of South Kashmir after a youth named Fayaz Ahmed was killed in firing of Government forces in chewakalan of Pulwama. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth shouting pro Freedom and Anti India slogans hit the streets and threw stones on Forces deployed in the area. Shopkeepers downed their shutters as a mark of protest against the killing of the youth. PDP Worker Fired Upon by Gunmen in Pulwama

September 03 A worker of People's Democratic Party was shot at by unknown gunmen on Monday when he was coming out of Sports stadium in Pulwama. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that gunmen fired upon a PDP worker identified as Mehraj Ahmad Parra, son of Ali Mohd Parra, a resident of Naira Pulwama in South Kashmir. Officials however said that he has escaped unhurt and is safe.

Train Services in South Kashmir suspended

September 03 Following a massive cordon and search operation in Pulwama of South Kashmir, the Railway authorities have suspended train services from Banihal to Srinagar. "Following the volatile situation in South Kashmir areas, the train services have been suspended as a precautionary measure," officials told The Kashmiriyat. Massive clashes have erupted in Pulwama of South Kashmir after Government Forces launched a cordon and search operation in at least 18 villages. One youth has also been killed in the ongoing clashes.
