Clashes Erupt During CASO in Karimabad Pulwama

September 01 Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Karimabad area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Late night on Saturday, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Karimabad area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces. Cow attacks BJP MP in Gujarat, is critical

September 01 BJP MP from Gujarat Liladher Vaghela suffered broken ribs and has been admitted to the ICU of Apollo Hospital after a stray cow attacked him. Reportedly, the Lok Sabha MP from Patan was out for a walk when the cow attacked him outside his residence in Gandhinagar. The 83-year-old MP is said to be critical after he sustained head injuries, in addition to broken ribs. Prior to being elected to Parliament, Vaghela had served as a cabinet minister in Gujarat. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Water Resources, Consultative Committeeof the Ministry of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and Sanitation and Railway Convention Committee.

U.S. to stop aid to Palestinian refugee agency

September 01 The Trump administration in United States has decided to stop aid for lakhs of Palestinian refugees after slashing bilateral aid projects in West bank and Gaza. The US State Department said in a written statement the United States “will no longer commit further funding to this irredeemably flawed operation”. The decision cuts nearly $300m (£231m) of planned support. It comes as Donald Trump and his Middle East advisers, Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt, prepare for the rollout of a much-vaunted plan for Israel and the Palestinians, and it could intensify Palestinian suspicions that Washington is using the humanitarian funding as leverage. Municipal Commitee Elections from 1-5 October, Panchayat from 8 Nov to 08 December

September 01 Elections in Jammu Kashmir will be held from October, the new governor of the province, Satyapal Malik, announced. The urban body elections will be held from 1st to 5th October in four phases. The Panchayat elections will take place from 8th November to 8th December. In the meeting of the State Administrative Committee headed by the Governor, it was decided to hold the urban body elections before Panchayat elections. The State Administrative Committee has also announced to give additional salary of one month to the government employees working during the election. CASO Launched in the Native of Riyaz Naikoo, in Shopian Area

September 01 A CASO has been launched in Beighpora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Saturday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and BN CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. Meanwhile following inputs about Militant movement, the forces have jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Mantribugh area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Police Book Kashmiri Journalist Under Militancy case

September 01 A Kashmir based journalist Asif Sultan who works for Kashmir Narrator and has been under Police custody for the past six days has been booked in a Militancy case. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the journalist was arrested from his home during a nocturnal raid and his phone, laptop were also siezed by Jammu Kashmir Police. They said that Police barged into his room and frisked everything in his room. Police has told media that Asif has been formally arrested in recent incidents that took place in Batamaloo area of Srinagar. SE PDD South Circle Bijebhera places two officials under suspension

September 01 Following electrocution incident in dialgam ,Superintending Engineer PDD South circle has placed two officials including junior Engineer  Mohd Yaqoob Teeli  and inspector Mohd Maqbool Beigh under suspension with immediate effect. He has directed Exon PDD Anantnag to furnish detailed report about  the incident within two days. Remember in the morning the two officials were electrocuted in the dialgam out of them one succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile people of Mattan ,pran bhawan ,Bonagam and Sadar bazar have appealed SEE PDD South to transfer  casual and permanent staff of linemen in these areas however people appreciated efforts of JE Sandeep, incharge officer Ashaq Hussain,inspector Nissar Ahmed  and some casuals .

23 Year Islamabad Youth Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances

September 01 A 23 year old young boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Khwaja Mir Ali area of Cheeni Chowk in South Kashmir's Islamabad township early morning on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Uzair Yousuf Wagay son of Mohammed Yousuf Wagay aged 23 was found lying unconscious on the third storey of his house. The Family upon finding him in an unconscious state rushed him to the hospital, but upon reaching the District hospital in Islamabad (Anantnag), he was declared dead by the doctors. Uzair had recently completed his MBA from a Chandigarh college and was now working in JIO Communications, a friend of Uzair told The Kashmiriyat.

One Lineman Electrocuted to Death, Another Injured in Dialgam

September 01 SHEIKH NADEEM One linemen of Power Development Department jammu Kashmir died while another was injured while repairing a HT line in Dialgam area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the two linemen who were repairing a high tension line in the Her Dialgam area  were electrocuted, one of them died on the spot and another one sustained serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to the hospital where the hospital sources confirmed the incident to The Kashmiriyat. They identified the deceased lineman as Mohammed Khalil Itoo, a resident of Khashipora in Dialgam while the injured lineman was identified as Ghulam Mohammed Misgar.
