Clashes After in Srinagar During Civilian Funeral

September 27 Massive between youth and government forces erupted in Sakedafar area of Srinagar when forces fired tear gas canisters on mourners carrying the body of the civilian killed in forces firing early Thursday, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. Mohammad Saleem Malik a resident of Noorbagh area in Srinagar was killed after forces launched a search operation in the area. Forces vandalize Property in Kulgam Area amid Clashes

September 27 The Locals of Redwani area in South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Thursday Night accused the Government Forces of vandalizing property in the area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that some youth threw stones on the vehicles of Government Forces who were passing through the area, after which the Army men stopped their vehicles and barged inside homes, vandalizing everything that met their eye. Militant Killing- Spontaneous Shutdown, Stone Throwing Clashes in Islamabad (Anantnag)

September 27 Intense Stone throwing clashes erupted on Thursday in Dialgam area of Islamabad (Anantnag) district as the news of a local militant getting killed in an encounter spread in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth in large numbers shouting pro Freedom and pro Militancy slogans hurled stones on Forces passing through the area. The forces fired tear smoke shells on the protesters to disperse them, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed. Meanwhile in most parts of the District including the Islamabad township, people are observing a shutdown to protest the killing of a Local Militant. Authorities have also suspended mobile internet throughout Southern Kashmir.

September 27 Mobile Internet has been extended to the entire South Kashmir following an encounter that raged early morning on Thursday in the Dalwach area of Dooru in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Army Man Injured in Islamabad (Anantnag) Gunfight Succumbs

September 27 An army man of 19 RR identified as Happy Singh who was injured critically in a gunfight at Dooru area of Islamabad (Anantnag) in south Kashmir succumbed to injuries in the Military Hospital in Srinagar Officials confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that the Army man had been critically injured during the gunfight at Dalwach area of Dooru. The officer said that the critically wounded soldier Happy Singh succumbed to injuries. Earlier, a militant identified as Asif Malik was killed during the gunfight while as some Militants reportedly managed to escape.

September 27 The Jammu Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) announced the dates for the Secondary School Examination (10th), Higher Secondary Examination Part – II (12th class) and 11th class examination for 2018 in Kashmir division. JKBOSE Class 10 date sheet The class 10 exam will start on October 24 and will end on November 14. The schedule is as below: The class 12 exam will start on October 22 and end on November 15. September 27 One civilian has been killed during an encounter in Nowpora area of Srinagar District on Thursday morning. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that one civilian has been killed as an encounter raged in the Nowpora area of Srinagar. As per initial reports, the Civilian who was killed was identified as Mohammed Saleem. Three gunfights raged in Noorbagh area of Srinagar, Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District and Chadoora area of Budgam.
