1 Militant Killed as Encounter Rages in Dooru Islamabad

ISLAMABAD
September 27 One Militant has been killed in the ongoing massive exchange of gunfire is on at Damlach of Dooru area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anatnag) District on Thursday morning. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the 19 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 164 BN CRPF are conducting the operation in the area. The Militants as per officials opened fire upon a party of Government Forces during a patrol, triggering a gunfight. As per the initial reports, two to three Militants including are exchanging Gunfire with the Government Forces. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that massive gunfire is on as more troopers are being rushed to the spot. The Authorities have suspended Mobile internet in the Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

September 26 The Government Forces on Wednesday  launched a cordon and search operation in the Krawora area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Krawora area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Kashmir- Student Missing Since 13 September, Friends Demand Release

September 25 The colleagues of Mohammed Iqbal Rather today staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar to demand the release of A 22 year old youth from Charar e Shareef area of Central Kashmir who had gone missing from his home on 13th September. Mohammed Iqbal Rather son of Abdul Khaliq Rather, a student of BSc Nursing at Sher e Kashmir institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar went missing on Thursday. Kashmir- At least 175 Militants Killed this year

July 02 As of 25 September 2018, a total of 175 militants have been killed in Kashmir this year, as per figures available to The Kashmiriyat. A unilateral ceasefire was declared by the Indian Government on 14 May when the Government forces were asked not to launch operations during Ramadan, during that month 24 Militants were killed. The Centre soon announced the resumption of intelligence-based cordon-and-search-operations in the state on June 17, 2018. Government Finally accepts that SPOs have Resigned

September 25 The Jammu Kashmir government on Tuesday has finally accepted that "some" special police officers (SPOs) has resigned from their Police jobs to avoid the brunt of Militant attacks. State chief secretary BVR Subrahmanyam said there have been "negligible" cases of SPO resignations and the cases are confined to South Kashmir, while rest of the valley is peaceful adding that there were 30,000 SPOs in Jammu Kashmir and the number of them resigning is very negligible.
