CASO Launched in Islamabad (Anantnag) Area

September 22 The Government Forces on Saturday launched a cordon and search operation in the Shool locality of Batengoo area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday, the forces including 1 RR of Indian Army, 90 Battalion of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Shol area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Islamabad locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Policemen Continue to Remain Insecure, Soft Targets

September 22 Last month, Militants abducted the kin of a dozen Policemen in South Kashmir, however they were released a day post their kidnappings. Bandipora Shuts for Second Consecutive Day to mourn the killing of five militants

September 22 A complete shutdown is being observed in North Kashmir’s Bandipora town for the second consecutive day on Saturday to mourn the killings of five militants by government forces at Shogbaba village during a gunfight. September 22 Unknown persons set ablaze a Panchayat Ghar at Munad locality of Yaripora in South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Friday, This is the 8th incident reported in the last five days. On Friday, two Panchayat Ghars at Pehlipora Keller of Shopian and Borwa Chadoora of central Kashmir Jammu Kashmir were set on fire. Earlier on Tuesday, two Panchayat Ghar were under attack by unidentified persons in the vicinity of Shopian. Police had claimed that the Panchayat Ghar was severely damaged after the incident. September 22 Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Shermal area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Early a morning on Saturday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Shermal area. Massive CASO launched in 8 Pulwama Villages

September 04 Following the killing of three policemen In Shopian on Friday, a massive Cordon and Search Operation has been launched in the eight villages South Kashmir's Pulwama  District on Saturday morning. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55RR of Indian Army, 183 and 184 BN of CRPF and  Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched an Anti Militancy operation in the villages. As per sources the operation has been launched at Lassipora, Armula, Alaipura, Batnur, Garbug, Nowpora Payeen, Hajdarpora and Achan.
