Grenade Attack on CRPF in Tral

PULWAMA
October 05 Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a camp of CRPF Camp in Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade inside the camp of 180 Battalion of CRPF injuring one CRPF Personnel who was immediately rushed to the spot. The forces have launched  a massive manhunt to nab the attackers. Details Emerging.

Three South Kashmir Youth Join Militancy

October 05 Amid growing Anti Militancy Operations and encounters, two more youth from South Kashmir district of Shopian have joined the Militant ranks. OGW Escapes From Police Custody in Sopore, Police Launches Manhunt

October 05 A militant activist who was arrested four days back in Sopore outskirts, fled from police station in the Apple town on Friday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the Jail inmate namely Mehraj Ud Din Khan alias Marouf of New Colony Sopore escaped from police custody from from police station Sopore. Contestants Apologize Publicly in Jamia Masjid Islamabad for Filling Nomination Papers for Polls

October 05 on Friday, Six Candidates publicly apologized in the Jamia Masjid of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district for filling the nomination papers for contesting in the Urban Local Body Polls. The Kashmiriyat has been informed that six candidates named Abdul Rahid Sofi, Khurshid Ahmed, Muzammil Rashid, Infas Rafiq, Asif Mushtaq, Mohammed Asif Bhat have written letters of Jamia Masjid Islamabad apologizing to the Public of the District. The preacher at Jamia Masjid Islamabad of South Kashmir asked people to forgive the six contestants who had recently filled nomination forms for the upcoming ULB Polls scheduled to start on the 08th day of October. All the six contestants are from the Islamabad (Anantnag) township of South Kashmir.

Two NC workers shot Dead, One critically Wounded

October 05 Two workers of National Conference have been shot dead and another was critically wounded when unknown gunmen fired upon them in Karfali Mohalla area of Srinagar city. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the unknown gunmen fired upon the NC workers  on Friday morning. The three workers are believed to be close aides of NC MLA for Habbakadal Constituency Shamima Firdous at Karfali Mohalla. In the incident, three activists of NC suffered injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment. October 04 The State Human Rights Commission of Jammu Kashmir has on Thursday directed the Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam to file factual report on the Army camp that has been recently set up in Redwani area of Kulgam district. A Member of the Commission, Dilshad Shaheen hearing the case passed the direction and asked the respondent to file his response before 20-11-2018.
