2 Army men injured in Militant Attack at Pulwama

PULWAMA
November 18 An exchange of gunfire took place  between Militants and Government Forces in the Larve area of Kakapora in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Sunday evening. Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that the Government Forces including 55 RR and 183 BN of CRPF had Jointly launched a search operation in the area after Militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF camp in Kakpora killing one CRPF man. The Militants who were intercepted by Government Forces opened massive fire on joint forces, triggering a massive exchange of gunfire. In the incident, two soldiers were injured, both of them have been rushed to the hospital.  

Labourer Dies After Falling from Under Construction Mosque in Pulwama

A labourer died on Sunday after he fell down from an under construction mosque at Wayan in Krew area of Pulwama district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the deceased identified as Tanveer Ahmad Zohda, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Chanjlow Banihal fell down from an under construction mosque in Wayan, resulting in serious injurious to the labourer. Higher Secondary Set Ablaze in Kupwara

November 18 Unidentified persons on Sunday evening set ablaze an educational institute in Hatmaloo area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that flames erupted from Government Higher Secondary School Hatmaloo Kupwara on Sunday evening after which locals rushed to the spot to control the fire. Militant Hideout Busted in Shopian Area

November 18 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a Militant hideout in South Kashmir's Shopian District on Sunday evening. The Police informed that during a raid the Jammu Kashmir Police and 23 Para Unit Of Army busted a hideout in Yarwan village of south Kashmir's Shopian during the search operation On Sunday. They said that incriminating material including edibles, stores & sustenance items for winters was recovered from hideout.

CRPF Man Killed in Pulwama Grenade Attack

November 18 Unidentified persons hurled a UBGL grenade on a camp of CRPF Camp in Kakpora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on late night on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade inside the camp of 183 Battalion of CRPF, injuring one CRPF trooper, as per initial reports. The CRPF trooper was rushed to the hospital, however he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The forces have launched  a massive manhunt to nab the attackers. Details Emerging.

November 18 At least three people have been killed and several injured in a grenade explosion in Amritsar's Rajasansi village today, the police said. Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, a senior officer, said the 10 injured have been taken to the hospital and the bodies of the victims sent for post-mortem. November 18 The Pulwama and Shopian Districts of Southern Kashmir have shut down to mourn the killing of two militants in a gunfight earlier today. Unknown Gunmen Abduct Another Youth in Shopian

November 18 Unknown gunmen on Sunday morning abuducted a youth from Memander area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen abducted a civilian namely Suhail Ahmed Ganie son of Sheeraz Ahmed Ganie from his native in Memander area of Shopian. They said that the masked gunmen picked him up from his native and whisked him away from the spot. Pertinently five youth were kidnapped from the Shopian areas in the past three days out of which three youth were released and two killed by the unknown gunmen.

Two Local Militants Killed in Shopian Encounter

November 18 Two militants killed in a nocturnal gunfight in Reban Zainapora village of South kashmir’s Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a Joint Team of forces laid siege in Reban area of Shopian after receiving specific input about presence of militants there, as the team intensifying searches hiding militants fired on forces triggering gunfight. The Slain Militants have identified as Nawaz Ahmad Wagay son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Rebban Zainapora and Yawar Wani son of Ali Mohammad Wani resident of Batnoor Litter Pulwama.
