Snowfall Cripples normal life, Damages Apple Orchards In Upper Reaches of Tral

November 05 Lone Nawaz Snowfall that started from Thursday night in upper reaches of Tral has come not just too early in the season but also as a blight on the valley’s apple orchards. Reports  from Higher reaches of Tral including Aripal, Dar Ganie Gund, Sofigund, Khanagund and their adjacent villages reached  that snow fall has caused extensive damage to apple trees due to the heavy snow that accumulated on leaves and branches. Residents of many villages told The Kashmiriyat over phone that the snowfall damaged hundreds of apples that were still on trees, while branches of trees broke down due to the weight of the snow. Hizb Posters Asking People to Stay Away from Panchayat elections Surface in Doda

Under Construction Building Collapses due to Snowfall

November 05 Waris Shah/ Sheikh Nadeem Due to fresh  snowfall in valley many buildings have suffered damage in south kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. In a similar incident an Under-construction four floor building of Mohammed Yaqoob Reshi, resident of General Bus Stand of Islamabad (Anantnag) collapsed at  Gen Bus stand at 3 pm in Islamabad (Anantnag). Untimely Snowfall Adds to the Woes of Kashmir

November 04 The early snowfall on Saturday has caused a massive damaged to orchardists in South Kashmir areas. Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that around 3 feet to 1 feet of snowfall was received in the South Kashmir region, with Sangerwani area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District and adjoining hilly villages receiving at least one feet of snowfall. November 04 Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Karhama of Lolab area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District. On Sunday Morning, the forces including 18 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to this Lolab area.
