Owner of the house where nine Kashmiris were killed in October found Dead

KULGAM
December 11 The bullet ridden body of Sheeraz Ahmed Bhat (Czak) has been found in Awahatoo area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district early morning on Tuesday. Pertinently Sheeraz Ahmed Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammed Bhat was abducted by unknown gunmen from the Laroo area after they barged inside his house in the Laroo Kulgam area on October 27. His body was found early morning in the Awahatoo area in Kulgam after which locals called the Police. Sheeraz who was kidnapped by the unknown gunmen on 27 October is the owner of the house where three Militants were killed in an encounter with Government Forces on 21 October, 7 Civilians were also killed. He is survived by his wife Nusrat and three children. (The Kashmiriyat)

Forces Launch Massive CASO in Shopian Area

December  10 The Government Forces on Monday evening launched a cordon and search operation in Nildora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police sealed all the entry and exit points to the area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Police orders Promotion of 73 Police Officers

December 10 The Director General of Police JK, Dilbagh Singh has ordered promotion of 73 Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Inspector. These officers have been promoted under PHQ order Number 6521 of 2018 of Executive Police, a police spokesperson said. The promotions were cleared by the Departmental Promotion Committee which met at Police Headquarters under the chairmanship of DGP on December 08, 2018. The DGP in his message felicitated the newly promoted officers and their families and urged them to work with more dedication and devotion in the interest of Public peace and welfare.

Private Schools Not Complying with Winter Vacation Orders will loose recognition

December 10 Directorate of School Education Kashmir Monday said that  schools violating winter vacation orders will face strict action  loose their recognition if they do not comply with orders. “DSEK takes strong notice of the complaints of parents about the non-compliance of orders about winter vacations by some private schools,” DSEK said in a statement,  adding that ‘schools found violating the orders to be de-recognized’. Quoting director education GN Itoo, it said the Department has received many complaints from the parents about the violations of Government orders, thus putting the students and parents in trouble. “Taking a strong notice of the issue, Department is identifying such schools and has decided to cancel their recognition,” it said. November 29 Shabir Khan Amid massive clashes thousands of people attended the last rites of Slain militants at Hajin in North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Monday.
