December 09 Shabir Khan A few days ago, the photo of a teen age boy joining Militant ranks and carrying an AK 47 on his shoulder had surfaced on the social media. The photo was of a 15 year old boy, Mudasir Bilal Parray from the Mir Mohalla area of Hajin in North Kashmir's Bandipora District. Mudasir Ahmed Parray had reportedly joined Militants in September, after he went missing from his home on August 31, Sources confirmed to The Kashmiriyat. Mudasir is student of 9th grade and his family had lodged a missing report in the Police Station Hajin, however he could not be found. CASO launched in Pampore Area

December 09 The Government Forces on Sunday launched a cordon and search operation in Khanqah Bagh area in Pampore in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the forces including 50 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police sealed all the entry and exit points to the area. A heavy contingent of forces reached this locality and are conducting a search operation in this Pampore area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. Militants Killed in Srinagar Gunfight Identified, Police

December 09 The police have identified the identities of three militants killed during the 18-hour long gunfight in Mujgund area located in outskirts of Srinagar city. ALSO READ: Mudasir, the Teenage Boy Likely Killed in Srinagar Encounter The police identified the two militants as Mudasir Parray, Saquib Sheikh, both hailing from Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipore district. The police identified the third militant as Ali Bhai, who is a resident of Pakistan, adding, he was the one who engaged the forces in the 18 hour long gunfight. Intense Clashes Continue Near Srinagar Encounter Site- At least Six Injured

December 09 At lest six people have sustained injuries during the ongoing clashes near the Encounter site in the Mujigund area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar District. The Government Forces fired tear smoke shells, pellets and bullets on the protesting youth as they tried to march towards the encounter site. December 09 The weather officials on Sunday said that moderate rain and snow was likely to occur in Jammu Kashmir in the next 24 hours. “Snowfall in the higher reaches is likely to disrupt connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and outside,” a Met Department official said.
