Offers Raining for Sikh Community in Kashmir for helping ‘Threatened’ Kashmiris

February 20 From Legal services to medical aid, people are announcing offers for the Sikh community as they helped Kashmiris being attacked by mobs in various states of India. Traders, Coaching centers, Doctors are announcing services free of charge for Sikh community in Kashmir for helping Kashmiris. A Islamabad (anantnag) based coaching center has announced a free tour package for fiv sikh students from Kashmir to Golden temple in Amritsar. Similarly traders engaged in various trades have announced special discounts for the community. Sikh community had arranged free food for stranded Kashmiri passengers in Jammu after they were attacked by a violent mob in Jammu region on last Monday. Kashmir Colleges Extend Winter Vacation Yet Again

February 20 In view of the inclement weather conditions, the Divisional administration in Kashmir has ordered further extension in winter vacations in colleges across the division. Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan said all colleges across the Kashmir division scheduled to reopen tomorrow after winter vacations will now reopen on Saturday February 23. He said the decision has been taken in view of the inclement weather conditions prevalent in the division.

  February 20 A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched by Government Forces in Zainapora area of South Kashmir's Shopian District Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday evening, 44 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in Safanagri area of Zainapora belt in South Kashmir's Shopian District. February 20 A young girl from Kolkata was trolled and allegedly threatened with rape on Facebook for a post on the plight of Kashmiris in the wake of the Pulwama attack, she said on Wednesday. In her February 15 post, the Class 12 girl condemned the deadly attack in Jammu Kashmir that killed 40 CRPF jawans, while highlighting the daily hardships of Kashmiris. UN Expresses Concern Over Attacks on Kashmiris in Various Indian States

Fresh Landslides Block Kashmir Highway

February 20 Fresh landslides on Wednesday have blocked Traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. Heavy overnight showers triggered landslides at various places in Ramsoo and Ramban areas on the highway forcing authorities to suspend block traffic movement temporarily. They said that the traffic will be allowed once the debris of the landslide is cleared.
