February 10 The five slain Militants killed in Kelam encounter in Kulgam district of South Kashmir have been identified by Police. The Police identified the slain as Waseem Bashir Rather alias Zeeshan of Ashumji Kulgam, Zahid Parray of Gopal Pora, Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam, Idrees Bhat of Arwani, Aaqib Nazir of Zangal Pora Kulgam and Parvaz Bhat (Hubaib) of Mukdampora, Quimoh, Kulgam. February 10 A woman was assulated by Jammu Kashmir Policemen in Karewa, Manloo area of Shopian district in South Kashmir on Saturday night. Police has ordered a probe after a video went viral in which few cops were beating a woman in a Shopian village. The video showing police men manhandling woman at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district has started doing rounds on social media since Sunday morning. February 10 At least ten boys have been picked up by Government Forces during the clashes that are going on near the encounter site in Kulgam's Kelam area on South Kashmir. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that during the intense stone throwing clashes at least 20 boys were arrested and then assaulted by the Government Forces. He concerned Officials said that the Registrar Judicial of the State High Court had complained in the written statement of the Police Station Shaheed Gunj in the year 2007 that fake bail documents were prepared for the bail of three persons allegedly involved in car theft. February 10 A 25-year-old Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his room in southwest Delhi’s Munirka area, police said. The deceased has been identified as Pranav Tiwari, a native of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh, they added. Tiwari was living with his three batchmates — Dheeraj Pandey, Devender Patel and Vivek — in Munirka, police said. On Saturday evening, Pandey and Patel had gone to Saket Mall and Vivek had left for his native place. Pranav was alone at the flat, a senior police officer said. February 10 The Jammu-Srinagar national highway remained closed on Sunday for the fifth consecutive day due to snowfall and landslides, officials said. Traffic department officials said there has been fresh snowfall in the Banihal area, and landslides at some places in the Banihal-Ramban stretch of the road. “Around three feet snow accumulated on the road. Landslides have occurred at Anokhi Fall, Panthal and Kela Mode,” a traffic department official said. “No traffic movement will be allowed on the highway on Sunday except for the stranded vehicles and that too, only after the road is cleared,” the official added.
