Despite Growing Militant Deaths, Another Kashmir Youth Picks up Arms, Joins Militancy

March 31 Despite growing encounters and repeated verbal attempts of the Army and Director General of Jammu Kashmir  Police, Militancy is showing no signs of declination. In fact the Army General of India has been constantly asking the local Kashmiri youth to give up arms and asking people to keep their wards away from militancy. March 31 Following specific inputs about Militant movement, The Government Forces on Sunday afternoon launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Panzoo area of Verinag in South Kashmir's  Islamabad (anantnag) District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched 19 Rastriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF in Panzoo area of Verinag. March 31 A MiG-27 UPG (Upgraded) aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Rajasthan's Jodhpur on Sunday, reports news agency ANI. The MiG-27 aircraft was on a routine mission. Incomplete Bridge Claims Yet Another Life as 15 Year Old Boy Drowns in River in Kokernag

March 30 Waris Shah/ Sheikh Nadeem A 15 year old boy on Saturday afternoon died after falling down from an incomplete bridge in Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Islambad (Anantnag) district. The boy identified as Nazir Ahmad Bimla Son of Fareed Ahmad Bimla, a resident of Magam , Sona Brari, Kokernag drowned in Nullah Brengi today evening after falling down from a bridge he was walking on, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. March 30 Shabir Khan Unknown gunmen shot dead a civilian in Main town area of North Kashmir's Baramulla District Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen shot dead a civilian identified as Arjumand Majid Bhat aged 35 on his shop near the TP Brach of Jammu Kashmir Bank in Baramulla town. Sources said that Arjumand was as shot at least five times near his shop at around 4.50 pm, resulting in his on spot death.
