Grenade Attack in Sopore- SHO, Two Other Troopers Injured

March 21 Three Cops, including a Jammu Kashmir Police station House officer have been injured in when suspected Militants hurled a grenade on Government Forces in Main town of Sopore in  North Kashmir’s Baramulla District. Sopore Encounter- Intense Clashes Erupt Near the Encounter Site

March 21 Intense clashes erupted as hundreds of youth hit the streets of Warpora and its adjoining areas in North Kashmir's Sopore area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hit the streets as soon as the bullet sounds raged in the area. Locals said that people from nearby areas are marching towards Warpora in huge numbers. Gunshots heard During CASO in Hajin Town

March 21 Gunshots have been heard during a cordon and search operation at Hajin town in North Kashmir's Bandipora District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 13 RR of Indian army and Jammu Kashmir Police had jointly launched a search operation in the area on Thursday morning. Encounter Rages in Sopore’s Warpora, 1 Army man Critically Injured

March 21 Shabir Khan An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Usman Mohallah area of Warpora area of Sopore in  North Kashmir’s Baramulla District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 22 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. The cordon continued for nearly an hour, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in a residential house in the area.
