March 15 At least 27 people have been shot dead in shootings at two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch during Friday Congregation prayers. One suspect is in custody but police warned they are still tracing an active shooter. Police commissioner Mike Bush urged everyone to avoid all mosques across the country. He told residents in Christchurch: “Close your doors until you hear from us again.” The prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, said it was “One of New Zealand’s darkest days”, calling the attacks “an unprecedented act of violence”. March 15 Many people were killed in a mass shooting at a mosque in the New Zealand city of Christchurch on Friday, a witness said. New Zealand police said on Facebook that one person is in custody, but police believe there may be other offenders. There is a police presence at a number of scenes, they said. And while police said the incident was "evolving" and "we are working to confirm the facts," they said they can confirm "there have been a number of fatalities." Unknown Gunmen kill Civilian in Pulwama

March 15 Unknown Gunmen on Thursday night shot dead a civilian at Gulzar pora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a civilian namely Manzoor Ahmad lone was abducted by unknown Gunmen from his residence in nearby Dogripora around 9 30 PM on Thursday. Massive Search Operation Launched in Kulgam Area

March 14 The Government Forces have launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Bugam area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday evening, RR of Indian Army, 18 BN of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in the area around Bugam. Following inputs about Militant movement in the area, the forces blocked all the entry and exit points of the area.   A door to door search operation had been launched when this report was filed.

60 year old Man shot at in Islamabad (anantnag), Injured

March 14 A sixty year old man was injured after he was shot at by unidentified Gunmen  at Thajiwara area of Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday evening, unknown gunmen shot Mohammed Ismail aged 60, at Thajeewara Bijbehara. Ismail was immediately rushed to Bijbehara hospital for treatment from where he has been referred to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for specialized treatment. Mohammed Ismail, as per media reports, is affiliated with National Conference.
