Massive Search Operation Underway in Tral

March 30 Following specific inputs about Militant movement, The Government Forces on Saturday launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Nazneepora locality of Hayuna in Tral belt of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched 44 Rastriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF in Nazneenpora area of South Kashmir's Tral. All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed on Saturday afternoon. Locals of Shopian Area Allege Vandalism by Indian Army

March 30 Accusing the Indian Army of vandalism on Friday night, the locals of Ratnipora in Shopian district of South Kashmir said that the entire area is being threatened by the Army. Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that Army men around 11 pm, entered the Ratnipora area and vandalized window panes and doors of more than twenty houses. The Army laid a siege around the Ratnipora area and thrashed several residents and smashed the window panes of many houses and privately owned cars. "The Army man accused us of supporting Militancy vadalized property and also damaged the cell phones of several villagers," A Local told The Kashmiriyat They alleged that Army also thrashed many locals. However the Indian Army denied these allegations.

March 30 Tej Bahadur Yadav, who was sacked from BSF after he uploaded a video complaining of bad quality food being served to the forces has said he will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Yadav, an ex BSF man and a resident of Rewari in Haryana, claimed he was approached by several parties to join them but chose to contest as an independent candidate. ITBP Trooper Shoots Self in Baramulla’s Kunzer

March 30 Sajad Hameed A trooper of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was found dead inside the CRPF camp in Kunzer area of North Kashmir's Baramulla on Saturday. Police suspect the trooper committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with an AK-47. The deceased, identified as Sub Inspector Chander Mani of ITBP's 4th Adhoc G Coy shot himself dead with his service rifles, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. The reason behind the alleged suicide is yet unknown. The body has been sent for post-mortem. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot, police said. The Police official said that investigation has been started into the incident.

Militants Likely Escape During Encounter in Islamabad (anantnag), Searches Continue

March 30 A brief exchange of fire raged early morning in Tangpwara area in  Kokernag of South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) district early morning on Saturday.
